That's a Wrap! ~ 2022 in Review

Updated: Dec 15, 2022

As 2022 draws to a close, and we begin a new liturgical year, we think it is important to look back at each month, count our blessings, and recount the highlights we had at the Gianna Center of Philadelphia.

January: We participated in the 49th National March for Life in DC, where we marched in hope for the day that Roe v. Wade would be overturned. Little did we know that it would be our last March protesting the national legalization of abortion! Let us remember to never loose hope. Let us pray boldly and work boldly for the lives of the unborn, as God always hears our prayers, and everything is in His Divine Providence.

February: We received our Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar (powered by Candid) allowing all to understand our unique, Pro-Life mission, and affirm the legitimacy of this important non-profit.

March: For World Wide FertilityCare Week, we set up a vibrant display in the lobby of Suburban Community Hospital in Norristown, PA, to teach visitors and health care workers about the medical and moral excellence of the Creighton Model and NaProTechnology. Each passerby had the opportunity to enter into our Arbonne raffle, a gift to pamper poor dry skin during the cold months.

April: We were so fortunate to have Valerie, our talented ultrasonographer, join the Gianna Team! Her enthusiasm is contagious, and we cannot remember how we were able to manage before without her.

Also in April, the Knights of Columbus, District 21, threw a KNight at the Races lalapalooza to raise money and awareness for the Gianna Center of Philadelphia. We are so grateful for our Knights!

May: Rebekah shared how the Gianna Center saved her from having a miscarriage. She told us how Dr. Larrauri turned one of the most frightening days of her life into a day of inexplicable joy and peace. Now, they have a happy, healthy little family.

June: The Gianna Center participated in the Given Conference held at Neumann University in Delaware County. Sarah, a Physician Assistant student, joined us in our outreach efforts.

July: Dr. Larrauri and FertilityCare Practitioners Barbara, Maria, and Theresa traveled to St. Louis to continue their education by attending the Annual American Academy of FertilityCare Professionals (AAFCP) Annual Meeting. Pictured above (left) is Dr. Thomas Hilgers and his wife Sue with the Team from Philadelphia.

August: On the feast day of Our Lady's Assumption, we were blessed to have many friends and supporters of the Gianna Center join us at White Manor Country Club to support Catholic, Pro-Life Healthcare at our Second Annual Golf Outing!

September: The Gianna Center goes to AbbyFest! We had the pleasure of meeting many new friends, seeing old ones, and meeting NaPro Babies!

October: At the beginning of the moth, we received a visit from the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Olde St. Thomas Chapter. They presented us with a check to support our mission to provide Pro-Life women's health care that honors the sanctity of life, the dignity of women and the sacramental integrity of marriage.

On Oct 15th, the Gianna Center partnered with Generation Life to present the First Annual Mother-Daughter Tea, a lovely educational program for Mothers and their Daughters between the ages of 10 and 13 to learn about the beauty of a woman's fertility, a precious gift from God.

November: We were so fortunate to have a visit from one of our former patients...and meet her darling little NaPro Baby!

Last but not least...

December: We would like to thank you for a wonderful year, and we wish you all a holy Advent, a Merry and Christ-centered Christmas, and a very blessed New Year!

~ with love and in Christ,

The Gianna Team

P.S. Christmas Donations are always appreciated!
